New Leadership Team Onboarded at our Annual Meeting

On May 15, over 70 members gathered at CED’s annual meeting to elect a new leadership team, to thank Terry Tretter and Juliana Madan, and to recognize Volunteers of Excellence and Diplomats of Excellence.

Our new President Christine Schaubach shared her thoughts about ways to strengthen and broaden CED for the future. She emphasized the following:

  • Bring VOLUNTEERS closer together – for camaraderie & community.

  • RECRUIT by sharing a powerful message of service and purpose.

  • Strengthen CED through wise stewardship and continued DEVELOPMENT.

  • Use TECHNOLOGY more strategically and efficiently to support our mission.

  • COLLABORATE with liaisons, cultural exchanges, programs, volunteers, & partner organizations to expand our visibility

  • Embrace new IDEAS, listening, adapting, and evolving to meet the needs of our changing times.

At the meeting, Juliana recognized four members as Volunteers of Excellence for exceptional service to the organization: Dianne Adelberg, Hani Miletski, Lori Borgna-Strong and Sandra Christman. Next, she congratulated three Diplomats of Excellence for their exceptional support to CED: Helena Lewin, Milka Lonngren and Stefan Lindgren. We are grateful to them for their ongoing support to CED and our members.
